Refuge

This series of 10 paintings, Refuge was created during the pandemic.  A counter response to a growing anti-Asian sentiment with peaceful Buddhist teachings,  this series is about peace and resilience in tough times. Quarantined inside my home, I retreated and painted. I took refuge in my canvas, finding serenity and catharsis in every mark and every stitch.
